St. Paul's Pool on Pitcairn Island - photo by Mila Lassuy

These islands are sometimes called the “loneliest islands in the world,” and the name suits them. Of three islands, only one is populated… and only by about 47 people. Of course, that doesn’t stop nature, and all the islands are chock full of endemic species of birds and plants. Adamstown, the one town in the group, is a unique and special place, welcoming to visitors and proud to share the bounty (historical reference pun intended!) of the gorgeous island on which it sits.
